Introducing Repeating Tasks

You absolutely love your repeat customers, and you want to give them priority scheduling. You hope to have a job for them every week, or maybe a month. The last thing you want to do is forget about that commitment. Now Arrivy can help with our new Repeating Tasks function.

Repeating Tasks

The Repeating Tasks function works in a very straightforward manner. Simply go into Calendar and you will see the feature alongside the other green buttons on the right side of the screen.

The function looks similar to the standard Create New Task module; you can add customer details, equipment, notification methods, and everything else you have come to expect. However, there are some additional features on the top right of the module.

As an administrator, you can choose to lock event editing by switching Edit Series to off. Below that you will see a description of when the event takes place, for example “Every month on first Monday starting on 7/7/2017 ending on 8/7/2017”. The rest of the module lets you edit the details of when the event takes place. You can choose:

  • Interval (Daily, weekly, or monthly)
  • Repeat every (2-6 days, weeks, or months)
  • Repeat on (Changes based on chosen interval)
  • Starts on and Ends on dates (The latter of which can be determined by number of occurrences)

The interval function will modify the rest of the details based on the chosen interval unit. For example, choosing Monthly will change the Repeat on function to First through Fourth and Monday through Sunday.  This will also change the Repeat every function accordingly, up to either 6 days or 6 weeks.

Below you can see an example of what a typical repeating task might look like:

Once the event has been created, it will appear in your calendar like normal. It will also have a circled arrow to designate it is a repeating event.

In addition, if you choose to delete the task you will receive a popup asking if you would like to delete the specific chosen event, or the entire series.
